This sets which regulators apply and the registration rules for your staff.

Rules for Scotland

Register within 6 months. Support workers must be registered with the SSSC within 6 months of starting the role.
Qualification condition. Registration usually comes with a condition to gain an accepted qualification, such as the SVQ at SCQF level 6, within the first 5 years of registration.
Keep learning. Registered workers must complete Continuous Professional Learning to keep their registration.
Service inspection. The Care Inspectorate inspects the care service, including how staff are trained and supervised.
