About us

We work in care. So we built the tool care was missing.

Checked and Ready started in a home care agency in Edinburgh, not in a tech office.

WHY WE BUILT IT

A normal day in home care

Every one of these moments is real. We lived them before we wrote a line of code.

  1. 07:00
First visit of the dayA new carer is shadowing. She started three weeks ago and her SSSC registration clock is already running.
  2. 11:30
A call from the officeThe spreadsheet says her medication training was done in “March?”. Nobody is sure which March.
  3. 14:15
A certificate turns upIt is a blurry photo in a group chat from last year. Someone saves it to a folder nobody else can find.
  4. 19:40
Rota finished, laptop openThe manager opens the training spreadsheet to plan renewals. Half the formulas show #REF!.
  5. 22:10
Still workingCounting six months forward on a paper calendar to make sure every new starter registers in time.

So we built one place for all of it.

Your team is there to care for people, not to chase paperwork. But when the inspector asks, every record has to be right.

Checked and Ready knows the rules for where you provide care, works out every renewal date, and lets staff send their own certificates from their phone. So managers can get back to the people they look after.

Our promises to you

Written down, so you can hold us to them.

To every agency that trusts us with its records,

  1. 1We keep it simple enough for a busy shiftIf a screen needs training to use, we have built it wrong.
  2. 2We never sell or share your dataYour records belong to your agency, and you can take them with you at any time.
  3. 3We follow the rules properlyWe work from each regulator’s own published guidance, not guesswork.
  4. 4We treat staff as part of itCarers see their own records, get their own reminders and never pay a penny.
